How can I add and edit a comment on the Discussion tab?
The Discussion tab is for expressing one’s experiences and sharing insights about the channels with respect, compassion, and honor. If you wish to add a comment, here are some guidelines to help you:
- Writing a comment
- Editing or deleting a comment already posted
- Tips to write better posts
- Guidelines for posting
Writing a comment
To write a comment, please click on the “Discussion” tab (1) and click on "LEAVE A COMMENT" (2). A pop-up window will appear where you can write your comment. You can add images, links, or emojis with the text.
When finished, select a topic (to help others find your comment easily) and click on “Submit.”
If you don't see your post after submitting it, please refresh the page.
All posts must be relevant. If you want to post a non-Crimson Circle video, graphic, link, or memo, use at least 25 words to explain why you feel it is appropriate.
Edit a post
If you want to change (or delete) what you wrote, please go to the entry and click on “Edit.” This edit function only works for posts you’ve made; it doesn’t apply to Replies to posts from other participants.
Tips for better posts
- Give a title to your post; this will help others understand its subject. Keep it short and simple.
- Use the text edit options (bold or italic) to bring attention to specific parts of the post.
- Tag the post by adding a topic to help you (and others) categorize posts.
- If using an image, always write a comment with it. The system doesn’t allow images without text.
Guidelines for posting
We believe that for the wisdom of Shaumbra to come out, there needs to be a defined set of rules we all must abide by, for everyone to have a meaningful experience in Keahak discussions:
- Be a source of wisdom.
- Don’t try to convince; use your words to inspire.
- Respect energy exchange principles.
- Participate constructively in comment threads: Before posting or commenting on a thread, always breathe first and make sure your words reflect the energy of Keahak, the purpose of the program, and what we stand for. Also, do your best to see the world from the perspective of the person who made the post.
- Acknowledge that everyone’s path is different and that they deserve to find and tailor it as they need it.
- Listen/read and feel not only the words but also the energy behind every communication.
- You are responsible for your own energy and shine without an agenda. Remember that before you push the “Submit” button.
- Don’t engage in drama, don’t use hidden (or even open) agendas in your communications, and always remember to stay behind the short wall.
- Be respectful of other people’s content and always assume that any other Shaumbra you interact with, acts in good faith.
- Don’t overwhelm the site with constant posting.
- It is OK to disagree, but please be civil, respectful, and considerate to other Shaumbra.
- Language that violates the spirit of a safe space will be deleted, a warning will be issued, and your account will be moderated (meaning that your posts will be reviewed by the Keahak team before they are published).
- Judgment of others and aggressive or abusive language are not acceptable behaviors. Repeat offenders will be moderated and, eventually, permanently suspended.
- Intellectual Property and Personal Rights: Do not post content that infringes any intellectual property or personal rights of another party. Writing taken from another source should be properly attributed and block quoted.
