Why are some events not open to individuals who are taking SSRI medications (for depression and anxiety)?
Humans naturally experience cycles of ebb and flow, especially within our own energy and emotions. In awakening, these cycles can become more pronounced and challenging for a time. Adamus has stated that depression is often a symptom of the suppression of this natural movement of energy.
Furthermore, in the case of awakening humans, depression is often one of the first symptoms of a budding awareness that the 3D reality in which we live is very limited and suppressive to who we really are. In a sense, awakening causes “cracks” in our awareness of this 3D construct, which can be overwhelming to the human personality.
Anti-depressants, of which the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI’s) are some of the most potent, appear to act by smoothing over these “cracks” and reinforcing our perception of 3D reality. This may help an awakening human feel better at first.
However, as a human continues along the awakening journey and more things about who they really are come to the surface, the depression may significantly worsen. Suppressing these emotional states with medications is detrimental to the process because these cycles are what build the momentum to bring one out of the old patterns into a more expanded consciousness. These medications make you go out of touch with yourself. We are not saying they are bad for everyone all the time, but they specifically will keep a barrier between you and your divinity.
“The medication flatlines an otherwise very natural and needed pattern, a wave cycle that goes up and down. (This cycle) is needed to create the energy wave on the other side of the veil to eventually propel the human being through the corridors of ascension.”

Keahak, Aspectology, the Sexual Energies School, and other workshops serve to facilitate consciousness expansion and therefore require that every attendee is able to fully experience all emotional states as they occur.
Going through such deep experiences while under the “blanket” of suppression induced by SSRI and other such medications can cause great imbalance and it will not allow you to reach the depths and bring up those core issues that are wanting to come up and be released.
Why do I have to wait 18 months after I stop taking the medication to take any of these classes?
SSRIs provide you with a blanket, a barrier that has protected you from the old energy ways of yourself. Now the drugs will continue to carry residue within you for a period of time, unfortunately. When you stop taking them, they will not go away right away. There is a chemical buildup in your body but more than that, it has caused a somewhat longer-term blanket, an emotional blanket, that will take some work to release.
While it can be difficult to feel the depths of darkness and trauma, going into and through these inner layers is the only way to go beyond them.
NOTE: Regardless of the effects of SSRIs on your realization journey, we encourage that whatever you decide, please follow what your doctors recommend for your specific condition. Stopping any medication should only be done under close medical supervision.
As Adamus said in Master's Life part 3: "At times, medications are beneficial if there is an urgent need for it... There are a lot of gifts in modern medicine or in ancient medicine as well. And it's really the consciousness in which you take it that's the most important."
