Why is my Credit Card being refused?
A credit card decline occurs if, for a particular reason, a credit card payment cannot be processed and the transaction is declined by the payment gateway, the processor, or the bank issuing the money.
Here are a few actions you can take that may resolve the issue:
- Make sure you are using one of our accepted forms of payment.
- Check that the credit card you have on your CC store account is still active and double-check that you entered the right information (credit card number, expiration date, and security code)
- Check the billing address you included in your CC store account. Make sure the address is complete and no information is missing.
- If you’re positive that you’re entering the correct information and your card is still being declined, check the back of your credit card for your issuer’s contact information. Call the toll-free number and ask the representative what’s wrong. Your credit card issuer will virtually always be able to identify the issue and guide you through the steps you’ll have to take to address it.
