I am planning to attend a workshop at Villa Ahmyo in Kona, Hawaii. What’s the best area for lodging?

The Villa is located in the area of Holualoa on Kona on the Big Island. (“Kona” refers to the western side of the Big Island, including Kailua-Kona town.) There are many lodging and accommodations choices available on this part of the island, including upscale resorts to private B&Bs. We recommend looking at the area stretching from Kailua-Kona town to Captain Cook.

If you prefer a private rental, the two platforms most used by Shaumbra are AirBnB and Vrbo. Another site, Trivago will give you more options, including hotel rooms.

Car rentals

For car rentals, there are some suggestions on the event description page, but Turo is one that many Shaumbra have used. It’s always a good idea to shop around and compare the prices and benefits that are most suitable for you.
