How to import the Keahak calendar to other platforms?

During the Keahak year, you can view all scheduled sessions in the calendar tab. If you wish to import this calendar to your device, follow the instructions in this article.

 

NOTE: After you import the Keahak schedule calendar to your Gmail or Outlook account, it will automatically update whenever there is a change. However, if you import it to Yahoo, you will need to import it again manually to see any updates, as the calendar won't be automatically updated in Yahoo.

 

Steps

Please go to the Calendar tab in the House of Keahak, and scroll down.  At the bottom of the calendar, you will see the different links to synchronize the calendars.  Then, choose the account you wish to import the calendar.

To find instructions for each account, please select one of the options below:

Gmail

Outlook

Yahoo 

Other 

 

Gmail

  • Go to the Calendar tab in the House of Keahak. 
  • Look for the "+ Google Calendar" button below the calendar at the bottom right and click it.
  • You'll need to log into your Gmail account; otherwise, you'll be asked to log in.
  • A popup will appear indicating which calendar will be imported; click "Add."
  • When finished, the calendar will be added to your Gmail account.  You will see it on the left side of the screen in the "Other Calendars" section, or directly in "My Calendars."

Outlook

  • Go to the Calendar tab in the House of Keahak. 
  • Click on the link for Outlook at the bottom.  This will copy a URL on your Clipboard, that you will need later.

  • Go to your Outlook app, and on the main page of the calendar on the left side, click "Add calendar."
  • Next, a menu will be displayed.  Click on the "Subscribe from web" option and paste the URL.  Add the calendar's name (i.e., Keahak), and click "Import."
  • At the end, you will have the dates of the events in our Outlook calendar.

Yahoo

  • Go to the Calendar tab in the House of Keahak. 
  • Click on the link for Yahoo at the bottom.  This will copy a .ics URL into your Clipboard.

  • Go to your Yahoo Calendar screen, and on the top menu, click on "Actions" and then “Follow Other Calendars.”
  • Enter the information requested, such as the name of the calendar (i.e. Keahak), then paste the Calendar URL(*.ics ) and click on the save button.

Other

  • Go to the Calendar tab in the House of Keahak. 
  • Go to the bottom and click on the link.
  • This will download a copy of the calendar file.
  • Add this file to your device's calendar.
