How to import the Keahak calendar to other platforms?

During the Keahak year, you can view all scheduled sessions in the calendar tab. If you wish to import this calendar to your device, follow the instructions in this article.

NOTE: After you import the Keahak calendar, please note that any administrative changes to the schedule made throughout the year will not reflect on your personal calendar, as this is not a dynamic feature. However, in the case of a rare schedule change, this will be noted in the "News" area for your reference.

Steps

Please go to the Calendar tab in the House of Keahak and scroll down. At the bottom of the calendar, you will see an option to add it to your Google Calendar (1) or to download an offline version (2).

Google

• Go to the Calendar tab in the House of Keahak. 

• Click on the "Add to Google Calendar" area below the calendar. (1)

• You'll need to log into your Gmail account; otherwise, you'll be asked to log in.

• A pop-up will appear indicating which calendar will be imported; click "Add."

• When finished, the calendar will be added to your Gmail account.  You will see it on the left side of the screen in the "Other Calendars" section, or directly in "My Calendars."

Mac

• Go to the Calendar tab in the House of Keahak. 
• Click on "Download an offline version here" at the bottom of the calendar.
• In your downloads area, click the open box area to open the basic.ics file in your Calendar app.

• In the pop-up window that appears, select a destination to add the new event to, and click "OK."

Outlook

• Go to the Calendar tab in the House of Keahak. 

• Click on "Download an offline version here" at the bottom of the calendar.

• Import .ics or .vcs File (Desktop):

  • Select File > Open & Export > Import/Export
  • Choose Import an iCalendar (.ics) or vCalendar file (.vcs) and click Next.
  • Select the file from your computer and click OK.
  • Select "Import" to add to your calendar.

  Import in New Outlook/Web:

  • Go to the Calendar view and click Add calendar.
  • Select Upload from file.
  • Browse and select your .ics file and choose the calendar to import to.

Other

• Go to the Calendar tab in the House of Keahak. 

• Go to the bottom and click on the link.

• This will download a copy of the calendar file.

• Add this file to your device's calendar.
