Why do I need to add my billing address when ordering a product?

By default, our e-commerce platform requires that all transactions, include a billing address from the purchaser for tax, legal, and business metrics purposes (even if there is no charge involved).

• Taxes: Although the product is free of charge, it may be subject to some taxes depending on the user's location. The billing address allows these taxes to be calculated correctly.
• Verification: The address helps verify the identity and real location of the user to prevent fraud.
• Legal: Due to regulations, a valid billing address associated with any transaction is often required.
• Metrics: Usage and download metrics can be better analyzed by associating a billing address with users.
• Support: If technical support is required, the address allows the user to be better identified.
